10:15-12:00 About epilepsy and the therapeutic role of cannabis-based medicines – with Dr. Evan Lewis and Dr. Callie Seaman.
Dr. Seaman provides a personal testimonial, being a patient with severe epilepsy and her fight and ultimate success in controlling her seizures with medical cannabis. Dr Seaman presents on the Medcan Foundation and their support and dedication in fighting for young British pediatric epileptic patients’ right to choose medical cannabis as a treatment option.
Dr. Evan Lewis presents his talk on medical cannabis for epilepsy in children.
The discussion concludes with patients on stage and a Q&A session focusing on indications for Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s Disease, and other neurological disorders that affect motor function.

16:30-17:15 Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen participates via video link and provides a talk titled ”The Cannabis Dilemma”. The talk is followed by a short live interview about the extremes of medical cannabis advocacy, hosted by Otto Larsson. The interview is followed by a Q&A session and discussion with the audience about paths forward to better and safer patient access to cannabis-based medicines. This session includes a Q&A with patients/advocates and Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen, led by Chris Walsh and Angelica Örnell.
17:30-19:00 Medical cannabis and the way forward! A presentation of some of the latest most advanced research with glimpses into the future, looking at how medical cannabis might evolve in the next 10 years. This session is led by Chris Walsh and contains a lecture by Dr. David (Dedi) Meiri that sheds light on some of the very latest scientific land winnings made by his groundbreaking research team in Israel. The final lecture is provided by Dr Simone Tambaro on the importance of the endocannabinoid system in Alzheimer’s pathology. The lectures are followed by a panel discussion where Dr Evan Lewis also joins on stage to contribute with insights about where the future of medical cannabis is heading.
